Aiden Krafft leads after two rounds at The Prestige golf tournament in La Quinta, California. Krafft shot a 3-under-par 68 in the second round, bringing his total to 5-under after 36 holes. He holds a two-stroke lead going into Wednesday’s final round.
Krafft started his afternoon with birdies on holes 4, 5, and 9, adding two more birdies on the back nine. He finished the day with only two bogeys, improving on his previous round score of 2-under-par 69. His second-round score of 68 is his best this season and marks his ninth round at or under par.
Oregon’s team is currently in fourth place with a total score of 569, six strokes behind first-place Stanford. Kyreece Romero recorded an even-par 71 to move up to tied for 16th individually. Casper Nerpin finished the day at two-over-par while Sebastian Desoisa posted a three-over-par round. Tim Chang ended the day at eleven-over-par.
Oregon has achieved the best Par-3 scoring average among all teams so far and is tied for the second-most par holes made through two rounds. Krafft also leads all players in Par-3 scoring average and has tallied ten birdies across both rounds—the second highest among competitors. Casper Nerpin is tied for most par holes by an individual with twenty-eight.
The Ducks will complete their participation in The Prestige with Wednesday’s final round as Krafft maintains a two-shot advantage over other players.
