Aiden Krafft secured individual medalist honors at The Prestige golf tournament after the final round was cancelled due to high winds in La Quinta, California. Krafft, a senior for the Oregon Ducks, led the field by five strokes after posting rounds of 69 and 68 for a total score of 137, finishing 5-under par over 36 holes. This marks his second career tournament win, following his victory at the Sahalee Players Championship in 2025.
Head coach Casey Martin commented on the team’s performance: “The Prestige was a great event for us. Aiden displayed a ton of maturity during brutal conditions yesterday. He played beautifully. The team did well playing in strong wind. We needed this confidence boost very badly and are excited to get back out there.”
The Ducks finished fourth as a team with a score of 1-over par, six strokes behind Stanford, who won the team title.
Play was suspended Thursday morning when high winds prevented competitors from completing their rounds. Tournament officials decided to cancel the third round and finalize results based on scores from the first two rounds.
Kyreece Romero achieved his best finish of the season, ending tied for 16th place with an even-par round on Wednesday and a total score of 143 (+1). Casper Nerpin finished at 2-over par (144), while Sebastian Desoisa ended one stroke behind at 3-over (145). Tim Chang shot a combined 159 (+17).
Oregon posted the best Par 3 scoring average among teams with a mark of 2.95 across two rounds and tied for second-most par holes with 120. Krafft recorded the best Par 3 scoring average individually at 2.50 and made ten birdies over two rounds—the second most among all players.
The Ducks will next compete at the Bandon Dunes Championship in Oregon starting March 8.
