Oregon lacrosse midfielder Anna Simmons has been named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Week for the second consecutive week and season. This is her fifth career weekly honor from the conference, after previously earning recognition in the first three weeks of the 2025 season.
Simmons, who was included on this year’s Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list, has played a significant role in Oregon’s strong start to their season. The Ducks have achieved a 3-0 record so far, with Simmons contributing consistently during games in San Diego. In recent matchups, she scored two goals in a 16-5 victory over FDU and added another two goals plus two assists against San Diego State.
Over three games this season, Simmons has accumulated eight goals, two assists, 13 draw controls, eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. Her goal tally ties her for seventh place in the Big Ten alongside teammate Emma Ing.
The Ducks will return to Papé Field on Thursday to begin a five-game homestand starting with a matchup against former Pac-12 opponent California.
