Oregon and Northwestern announced on March 25 that the opening game of their softball series will start earlier than planned because of an incoming weather system expected to affect the Chicago area. The first game, originally set for 5 p.m. Pacific Time (7 p.m. Central Time) on Thursday, will now begin at 11 a.m. PT (1 p.m. CT).
The games are scheduled to take place at The Ballpark at Rosemont, AUSL’s professional stadium in Rosemont, Illinois. Organizers said the decision was made in response to forecasts predicting adverse weather conditions late Thursday afternoon.
Thursday’s matchup will still be broadcast live on Big Ten Network as previously arranged. Additionally, officials confirmed that Saturday’s series finale had already been rescheduled to start one hour earlier at 10 a.m. PT (noon CT) because of Oregon’s travel plans.
The updated schedule for the Oregon-Northwestern series is as follows: Thursday, March 26 at 11 a.m. PT/1 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network and KWVA radio; Friday, March 27 at 3 p.m. PT/5 p.m. CT also on Big Ten Network and KWVA; and Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. PT/noon CT with coverage on B1G+ and KWVA.
Organizers encourage fans to check official sources for further updates.
