The Oregon beach volleyball team was eliminated from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championship after a loss to Louisiana State University on April 23 in Huntington Beach, California. The defeat ended the Ducks’ season with an overall record of 17 wins and 18 losses.

This match concluded Oregon’s postseason run, marking the end of their first year under head coach Kristian Kuld. The Ducks faced LSU, ranked No. 13 nationally, who secured a victory by winning three straight matches before remaining contests were left unfinished due to postseason rules.

LSU won opening sets on four out of five courts. The only exception was at No. 3 pairs where Daley McClellan and Elsa Snipes took an early lead for Oregon but were unable to finish as play stopped once LSU clinched the overall match. The Tigers claimed points on courts two and one, followed by another win at court four over Hanna Bjornson and Sofia Taylor.

At the time play was halted, McClellan and Snipes led by one set but trailed in their second set, while Landree Coats and Natasha George had just forced a third set on court five. Postseason duals are played until one team secures victory; any remaining matches are not completed once that point is reached.

Despite the loss, Oregon achieved several milestones this season including setting a program record for single-season wins with seventeen victories. They also earned two wins against ranked opponents—No. 19 Georgia State and No. 15 Florida Atlantic University—and saw five pairs finish with double-digit victories under Kuld’s leadership.
