The Oregon beach volleyball team set a new single-season program record on April 12 by earning its 15th win, surpassing the previous mark of 14 victories from 2022. The Ducks achieved this milestone after a close 3-2 win against Santa Clara at the Ching Complex in Honolulu.

This accomplishment highlights the continued growth and success of the Oregon beach volleyball program. Setting a new record for wins demonstrates progress and could signal further achievements in upcoming matches.

Senior Natasha George reached a personal milestone as well, tying for first place on Oregon’s career wins list with her 45th victory, now sharing that position with former standout Bea Wetton. The decisive point against Santa Clara came from Bella Gamache and Liz Rossi, who rallied from a set down to secure their third win of the weekend. Their comeback in the No. 2 pairs match clinched both the dual and the new program record.

The Ducks started strong with George and Landree Coats winning at No. 5 pairs before Santa Clara took points at No. 3 and No. 4 spots. Gwen Fife and AJ Slojkowski helped even up the score at No.1 pairs before Gamache and Rossi completed their comeback to seal the overall win.

In their next match against host Hawai’i, ranked sixteenth nationally, Oregon took an early lead thanks to Hanna Bjornson and Sofia Taylor’s performance at No.4 pairs but ultimately fell short as Hawaii won several close contests to take a 4-1 dual victory.

Looking ahead, Oregon will compete in Seattle at the Alki Invitational on April 17-18 with scheduled matches against Florida Atlantic, Boise State, Portland, and Washington.
