The Oregon Ducks men’s golf team remained in 11th place after the second round of The Goodwin tournament, according to a March 27 update. Three members of the team improved their scores during Friday’s play at Stanford Golf Course.
This development is significant as it reflects both individual and collective progress for the Ducks, who are seeking to climb the leaderboard heading into the final round.
Senior Aiden Krafft led the team on Friday with a score of three under par, highlighted by an eagle on the 16th hole. Krafft’s performance moved him up 64 spots on the leaderboard, finishing with an even-par total of 140 and tying for 27th individually entering Saturday’s final round. Teammates Jeffrey Kwak and Sebastian Desoisa also improved their scores from Thursday, with Desoisa making three consecutive birdies starting at hole sixteen and ending his round at par. Kwak finished two strokes over par with three birdies.
Oscar Lent, competing as an individual entry, joined Desoisa in a tie for 83rd overall after finishing three over par on Friday. Lent has been noted as one of the most consistent performers among Oregon players across both rounds. Casper Nerpin posted a score of three over but maintained a tie for 27th alongside Krafft due to his strong opening-round performance. Ramil Saelim was unable to repeat his five-under opening round and slipped down to sixtieth place after shooting eight over par.
The Ducks have accumulated a total of 109 pars through two days—seventh most among all teams competing—and Krafft remains the only player from Oregon to record an eagle so far in this tournament. Saelim’s initial score of sixty-five tied for second-best among all competitors after day one.
The Oregon lineup will return for Saturday’s third and final round at The Goodwin, teeing off in the first wave scheduled for a start time of 7:05 a.m.
