The Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team is set to compete at Matthew Knight Arena for the first time in 2026, hosting the third-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats on Sunday, February 21. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. Pacific Time and can be viewed online at https://www.bigtenplus.com/en-int/page/oregon.
Oregon returns home after starting its season on the road. The Ducks hold a 15-4 all-time record against Quinnipiac, with their most recent win taking place last season in Connecticut. Last year, Quinnipiac finished with an 8-2 record, with both losses coming against Oregon.
The Ducks opened their 2025 campaign by defeating Missouri State with a score of 267.325-242.880. They performed strongly in the pyramid event, continuing a pattern established during the previous season when they won the individual open pyramid title at the NCATA Championships. In that event, Oregon scored a 9.900 in the inverted pyramid and nearly perfect 9.950 in the open pyramid thanks to Selah Bell, Charlotte Lippa, Blessyn McMorris, and Ashlyn Parlett.
Cassidy Cu and Angelica Martin returned as a pair for their second season together and introduced a new routine in the seven-element acro event, earning a score of 9.85 after expanding on last year’s five-element skill set.
In January, acrobatics and tumbling was approved as an NCAA Championship sport beginning in 2027. Oregon is among several programs—including Azusa Pacific, Baylor, Fairmont State, Maryland, and Quinnipiac—that participated in the inaugural NCATA season. The Ducks claimed four consecutive national titles starting with their championship win in 2011 and have accumulated 53 individual event titles over fourteen appearances at NCATA Championships.
Senior Blessyn McMorris returns following her all-American recognition last year and played key roles in achieving two perfect scores for Oregon’s open pyramid routines as well as contributing to an event title victory—the fifth for Oregon in that discipline. She is joined by teammates Selah Bell, Emily Rezner, and Bella Swarthout; this group earned another open pyramid title at last year’s championships with a score of 9.875.
Under head coach Taylor Susnara’s leadership during the previous season, Oregon achieved its strongest performance yet—a runner-up team finish along with three individual event titles—in addition to posting a final record of seven wins and three losses. The roster now includes twelve freshmen recruits as well as transfer Makenna Guidish.
Last year’s successes included winning individual NCATA titles in seven-element acro, open pyramid events, and six-element tumbling.
