The Oregon men’s golf team will compete in its 19th consecutive NCAA regional under head coach Casey Martin, beginning play at the Columbus Regional on May 18. The Ducks are among 13 teams vying for a spot in the National Championship, with the top five teams from each of six regionals and top six individuals not on qualifying teams advancing to nationals at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
This regional includes five programs ranked in the national top 25: Florida, Arizona State, Stanford, Long Beach State, and Florida State. Oregon has not played postseason golf in Ohio since competing at The Inverness Club during the 2009 NCAA Championships.
Oregon aims to reach its third NCAA Championship appearance in five seasons and first since 2023. The program has qualified for nationals 35 times overall, winning a national title in 2016 and finishing as runner-up in 2017. In their last outing at the Big Ten Championships, Oregon finished twelfth with Aiden Krafft leading with a final-round score of one-under-par.
The lineup features senior Aiden Krafft—an All-Big Ten Second Team selection—freshman Sebastian Desoisa—an All-Big Ten Freshman Team honoree—and returning contributors Casper Nerpin, Ramil Saelim (Big Ten Sportsmanship Award), Tim Chang, and substitute Jeffrey Kwak. Both Krafft and Desoisa have earned individual medalist honors this season; Desoisa’s tournament win included an opening-round eight-under-par performance tied for fifth-lowest round to par in program history.
Head Coach Casey Martin is now leading his twentieth season with Oregon. He has guided the Ducks to all nineteen consecutive regional appearances as well as eleven trips to nationals—including their championship run in 2016.
