The Oregon men’s golf team finished tied for 12th place in the Big Ten Championships after completing the final round on May 3 with a score of 6-over 286. The tournament, held at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, featured an 18-team field and concluded with Oregon posting a total score of 22-over across three days.
Aiden Krafft led the Ducks in the final round, finishing tied for 23rd individually. Krafft’s performance included three birdies over four holes and a final-round score of 1-under 69. This result marked his seventh consecutive top-30 finish and his eighth round in the sixties this season.
UCLA claimed its second straight Big Ten title with an overall score of eight under par (832), helped by an impressive second round at eleven under par. Illinois finished second after shooting four under in Sunday’s final round. UCLA freshman Josh Kim secured the individual championship with a total score of eight under par (202).
During Sunday’s play, Oregon began on the back nine, where both Krafft and Ramil Saelim combined for six birdies. Saelim shot two under par on that stretch but struggled on the front nine with three bogeys and a double bogey. Senior Casper Nerpin played sixteen consecutive bogey-free holes to finish one under on the front side.
The Ducks’ leaderboard placements were: T-23 Aiden Krafft (+4), T-34 Casper Nerpin (+6), T-47 Jeffrey Kwak (+8), T-53 Ramil Saelim (+9), and T-58 S. Desoisa (+11). Oregon’s next appearance will be determined during the NCAA men’s golf selection show scheduled for Wednesday, May 6 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time on Golf Channel.
