The Oregon men’s golf team will continue its spring season at The Prestige tournament in La Quinta, California, starting Monday, February 16. The three-day event will take place at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West and features a 54-hole, par 72 format.
Oregon returns to The Prestige after tying for ninth place last year with a team score of 2-over 854. Aiden Krafft led the Ducks in that event by finishing 3-under 210 across three rounds. Tim Chang is set to compete again at PGA West and aims to improve on his previous performance. Live scoring will be available through clippd.com.
Earlier this season, Oregon recorded its lowest team score to par at the Amer Ari Invitational, finishing at 31-under 833. This result matched the seventh lowest round to par in program history. In the second round of that tournament, Oregon posted a score of 16-under 272, also equaling the seventh best mark in school history.
All four counting scores for Oregon were under par during the Amer Ari Invitational. Casper Nerpin achieved a career-low round of 67 while Tim Chang shot his personal best with a 6-under 66. Nerpin made three eagles over the first two rounds as Oregon finished twelfth overall.
The field for The Prestige includes ranked teams such as #15 Texas Tech and #25 Wake Forest among a total of twenty-four participating schools from various conferences.
Oregon’s lineup for this event consists of:

Freshmen Sebastian Desoisa and Oscar Lent have quickly contributed to Oregon’s roster after representing Great Britain and Ireland together at an international junior competition. Lent won a share of first place in his collegiate debut at the Tindall Individual Tournament by shooting a final-round low score and finishing nine under par overall.
Desoisa concluded his fall season by earning individual medalist honors at the Cal Poly Invitational, where he shot an opening-round eight-under-par and finished with all rounds under par for a total score tied for fifth-best in program history.
Head Coach Casey Martin is now in his twentieth season leading Oregon men’s golf. Under Martin’s leadership, Oregon has reached eighteen NCAA Regionals and eleven NCAA Championships, including winning the national title in 2016. His record entering this spring stands at 2,414 wins, 1,198 losses, and forty-two ties.
