The Oregon men’s golf team announced on Mar. 25 that it will travel to Stanford for The Goodwin tournament after finishing second at the Duck Invitational earlier in the week.
The team’s performance at their home course marks a strong start to spring break, with sophomore Ramil Saelim posting his best score of the tournament in the final round and Aiden Krafft securing an individual runner-up finish. This result builds momentum as Oregon prepares for another competitive event.
Oregon is one of six teams making a quick transition from the Duck Invitational to The Goodwin, which has become a regular part of its spring schedule. Last year, the Ducks finished ninth in what was described as a strong field. This year’s tournament will feature 18 teams, including 14 ranked among the top-50 nationally, such as New Mexico, Georgia Tech, Stanford, and UCLA. Live scoring will be available through Scoreboard by clippd.com.
The lineup for Oregon includes senior Aiden Krafft—who recently finished first at The Prestige—sophomore Ramil Saelim—tied for seventh at the Duck Invitational—and other contributors like Casper Nerpin, Sebastian Desoisa (individual medalist at Cal Poly Invitational), Jeffrey Kwak (career-low round at The Tindall), and Oscar Lent (shared title at Tindall Individual Tournament).
This season has seen notable performances from freshmen Desoisa and Lent. Both competed together internationally before joining Oregon and have already contributed significantly; Desoisa’s win at Cal Poly matched one of Oregon’s lowest scores historically while Lent took home honors in his collegiate debut.
Head Coach Casey Martin is leading his squad through his twentieth season with Oregon. Martin has guided the program to multiple NCAA Regionals and Championships appearances during his tenure.
