The Oregon track and field team is set to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships beginning Friday, March 13, at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Ducks have qualified a total of 23 entries—15 men and eight women—for the national meet, with five scoring opportunities on the first day.
This year’s championships return to a combined schedule for both men’s and women’s events after five years of separate schedules. Both days of competition will be streamed live on ESPN+, with dedicated links for morning and evening sessions.
Friday’s events include preliminaries in the 800 meters, mile, and 60-meter hurdles. Scoring chances are available for both teams in the 5,000 meters and distance medley relay. For the Oregon women, Liisa-Maria Lusti will compete in the pentathlon. The heptathlon also begins Friday for Peyton Bair and Aiden Carter; Bair is the reigning national champion from his time at Mississippi State, while Carter recently won the Big Ten Indoor title with a personal best score of 5,815 points.
The schedule lists specific times throughout Friday when Oregon athletes will compete across various events such as sprints, jumps, throws, relays, and multi-events. Day two will feature finals for those who advance from preliminary heats as well as additional scoring opportunities in the 3,000 meters for both teams, men’s shot put, and completion of the heptathlon.
Looking ahead to outdoor season, ticket packages are now available for Oregon’s home meets including the Oregon Team Invitational on April 18 and Oregon Twilight on May 8. The Ducks will also host the NCAA Championships in June.
