The Oregon women’s golf team was selected as the No. 2 seed for the NCAA Waco Regional, according to an announcement on Apr. 29.

This selection marks the Ducks’ 18th consecutive appearance in an NCAA Regional, a streak that began in 2008 except for the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 season. The program will be making its 30th all-time regional appearance.

The regional tournament will take place at Ridgwood Country Club from May 11 to May 13 and is hosted by Baylor. Oregon enters the event ranked No. 8 nationally and is one of twelve teams competing for five spots at the NCAA Championships, which are scheduled for May 22-27 in Carlsbad, California.

Head coach Derek Radley said, “It’s always exciting to hear your name called during the selection show. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to head to Waco with a chance to compete for a spot at the NCAA Championships. Our team has worked hard all season and this selection is a reflection of the effort and focus they have put in since the start of the fall. I’m excited to see what we’re able to do.” Under Radley’s leadership, now in his eighth season, Oregon has compiled a record of 102 wins against just 23 losses this year and finished among the top five teams in nine out of ten tournaments, including winning at East Lake Cup last fall.

Oregon aims to reach its fifth straight NCAA Championship after advancing through stroke play into match play three times over four years and reaching national semifinals twice recently.

Looking ahead, Oregon will compete alongside teams such as Texas A&M (No.4), Tennessee (No.16), SMU (No.21), Baylor (host), LSU, TCU, Tulsa, Colorado, Northern Arizona, Tarleton State and Prairie View A&M.
