The Oregon women’s golf team is tied for third place after the second round of the Chevron Silverado Showdown, according to an April 7 update. The Ducks shot a 6-over-par 294 on Tuesday at Silverado Country Club and Resort in Napa, California.
The team’s performance keeps them level with Nebraska at 10 over par. Southern California leads the tournament at 17 under, while Eastern Michigan holds second place at 12 under. Cincinnati and UC Davis are three strokes behind Oregon and Nebraska, sharing fifth place at 13 over.
Oregon aims to finish its regular season strongly in Wednesday’s final round and seeks to extend its streak of consecutive top-five finishes to twenty-one tournaments. The lineup showed consistency during Tuesday’s play, with all five players finishing within one stroke of each other. Sophomore Tong An and freshman Sophie Han led the Ducks by each carding a 1-over-par 73.
Junior Darae Chung, sophomore Annika Ishiyama, and freshman Sophie Han each posted a score of two-over-par-74 as part of the team’s counting scores. Redshirt senior Yvonne Vinceri, playing as an individual this week, recorded a hole-in-one on the par-3 fifteenth hole—her ace being the first by any Duck this season.
Looking ahead, the final round will start with a shotgun format beginning at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday.
