Regency Florence was under the ownership of Marvin Beddoe and Timothy Lehner during the first quarter of 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reports. This Lane County nursing facility has been run by Beddoe and Lehner since Feb. 16, 2006.

It operates as a for-profit nursing home.

During this timeframe, Regency Florence earned a CMS overall rating of 3, which is lower than Oregon’s nursing home average of 3.1. CMS determines these ratings using measures that include health inspection outcomes, staffing numbers, and the quality of resident care.

The data show Regency Florence cared for an average of 40.7 residents each day in Q1, out of 72 available beds. The facility is not affiliated with any hospital as of now.

In the same period, Regency Florence incurred a total of $7,443 from one fine and received one penalty.

Lane County, Oregon, has a total of 12 for-profit nursing homes.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates indicate that the nation’s population of older adults continues to grow, while younger age groups decline. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans ages 65 and older increased by 13% as the population under 18 shrank by 1.7%. The older adult population has expanded considerably across the previous century, rising from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.

Research published in 2021 found that nearly half of people in this age bracket—about 28 million individuals—may need long-term services and supports. The same research projects that over one-third could ultimately require nursing home care.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
