Seven members of the Oregon Ducks women’s softball team were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Mountain Region teams, according to a May 14 announcement. Pitcher Lyndsey Grein and outfielders Elon Butler and Amari Harper were selected for the first team, while catcher Emma Cox, second baseman Kaylynn Jones, shortstop Taryn Ho, and designated player Stefini Ma’ake earned spots on the second team.

These recognitions come as Oregon prepares for the NCAA Tournament as the No. 14 overall seed. The Ducks will host Idaho State in their opening game on Friday at 7 p.m., following a regular season record of 40-12 and tying for second place in the Big Ten Conference with a 20-4 mark.

Butler received her fourth career all-region honor and her second selection to the first team. She currently owns or shares five school single-season records: runs (65), doubles (18), extra base hits (39), total bases (144), and slugging percentage (.900). Butler also leads the team with 18 home runs—one shy of tying another school record—and holds a .413 batting average.

Grein was recognized on the first team for a second consecutive year. She leads Oregon’s pitching staff with a 23-6 record, has tallied 195 strikeouts over 161.2 innings pitched, and maintains a 2.73 earned run average. Grein ranks among the top five pitchers in nine categories within the Big Ten Conference.

Harper and Ma’ake both received their second career NFCA All-Region honors, while Cox, Jones, and Ho are first-time recipients of this recognition.
