SPRINGFIELD AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Welcome New Member: PT Northwest

Handshake07

Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Mar. 14.

What’s the story of PT Northwest? How did PT Northwest get its start?

PT Northwest has been around since the 1970s, and began in Stayton, OR. Currently, we have 11 clinics across the region from Corvallis to Silverton, and are now in Springfield as we wanted to expand further south to this area. We originally purchased a spot in a clinic in Eugene, and in 2020 had to move out of that space. We were excited to move to Springfield, but with COVID-19 had to pause opening for a few months. We are excited to be starting with an open opportunity in 2022 and in a new community!

Tell us about your team;

I am Jason Ball, and I’ve been a therapist for over 20 years. I was drawn to the field after going through an athletic injury and my own treatment years ago and seeing the difference that physical therapy could make. I started out as a PT Aid with PT Northwest while I was in school, and I’ve had about every job we have at the company. Over the years I worked my way up to be an owner and have been for about the last 15 years. It has been a great ride and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

How should the community know about PT Northwest?

We are a mid-sized company, but we are rooted as a family business, and we’re focused on caring for families. We are laid back clinic, and try to have a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. We want our patients to look forward to coming for treatment with us and leave with an upbeat attitude.

Tell us about your goals for community involvement:

PT Northwest loves to be involved in community events, and we have a strong history of that in other locations already. We’ve been involved in half-marathons, volunteer med-tents at road races, high school events, and more. As we can get out in the Springfield community more, we’re excited find connections and support the community that supports us.

What does the future hold for PT Northwest?

Our goal is to grow this clinic and grow in this community. We’d like to add a couple more therapists at this location and get our clinic to the right size to serve the community well. In other communities we have more specialized clinics as well, and would love to see if we could add those services as needed. We’re looking forward to being an asset to the Springfield-Eugene community and setting good roots here.
