In the past few weeks the Traffic Safety Unit has shared news of several focused projects. In comments related to each of those projects, we've consistently heard concerns about dangerous speeds on Beltline. Sooooo..... that's where we're focusing now!
Just a reminder that the speed limit on the Eugene portion of Beltline is 55 MPH, NOT 80, 81, 83 or even 92 as one driver may have believed. Higher speeds increase not only the likelihood of a crash, but also the severity of a crash. Get there on time, but get there safely!
