City of Eugene issued the following announcement on June 13.
City of Eugene services and facilities have different schedules for holiday hours. All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed on Monday, June 20, in observance of Juneteenth.
Library, Recreation and Cultural Services
All locations of the Eugene Public Library and all community centers will be closed for Juneteenth on Sunday, June 19. All community centers will be closed on Monday, June 20. All library locations will be open on Monday, June 20. Amazon Pool and Echo Hollow Pool will be on a holiday schedule on Monday, June 20 with lap and on your own fitness from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Police, Fire, Medical and Other Emergency Services
Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Monday, June 20. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year. Although the Downtown Public Safety Station will be closed on June 20, the Downtown Patrol Team will be on duty in the area. The Fire & EMS Administration offices, including Ambulance Billing, will be closed on Monday, June 20.
Public Works
No work will be done on City street repair projects. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption.
Airport
The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual through the holidays. The airport administrative offices will be closed June 20. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com or call 541-682-5544.
Spay and Neuter Clinic
The clinic will be closed on Monday, June 20.
All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on Tuesday, June 21, unless otherwise noted. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Independence Day on Monday, July 4, 2022.
