The Community Access Center, Lane County Public Health's (LCPH) vaccine clinic at Valley River Center (VRC), has reopened following a temporary closure to make necessary changes. The clinic will now offer both COVID and flu shots, extended hours, additional health focused resources and services, and an improved waiting area.
“Our goal for these changes is to improve access to basic health services like vaccination, knowing that it can be a challenge to squeeze a vaccination appointment into an already busy day,” said LCPH Communicable Disease Community Response Program Supervisor Elizabeth Miglioretto. “Now, community members can simply walk in with their whole family while doing other shopping, get their shot, and be on their way.”
The clinic will be accepting walk-in patients from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. The clinic will be offering pediatric vaccines for both COVID and flu. Community members are encouraged to bring their insurance cards (Oregon Health Plan and private insurance are both accepted).
The LCPH Community Access Center is located inside the Valley River Center Mall (293 Valley River Center, Eugene), next to the Round 1 Arcade on the River Path side of VRC. The closest parking lot entrance is the door between Round1 and back of Regal Cinemas.
From the bus station, proceed past the Regal Cinemas entrance, turn left at first hallway, (walking to the escalator is the wrong direction), proceed left until you nearly enter Round1, turn right into the Community Access Center.
