Drinking water problem corrected - Boil water advisory is lifted

DRINKING WATER PROBLEM CORRECTED

BOIL WATER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT

Customers of the City of Lowell water system were notified on 11/17/2022 of a problem with our drinking water and were advised to boil water for drinking and cooking purposes until further notice.

We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil water for drinking and cooking. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

The boil water advisory was issued as a precaution. The City received laboratory confirmation on Monday, 11/21/2022 that water from the City of Lowell water system is safe for drinking, cooking, and all other purposes.

As always, you may contact City Administrator Jeremy Caudle at (541) 937-2157 or via email at

admin@ci.lowell.or.us with any comments or questions.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
