The City of Eugene invites public comment on four proposals that have applied for Affordable Housing Trust Funds (AHTF). Public comments will be shared with the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Evaluation and Advisory Committee who will score and rank proposals. The scores and ranking(s) will be presented to the Eugene City Council, who will make final decisions for AHTF funding.
The proposals are posted on the AHTF website for review and include:
- Bridges on Broadway by Homes for Good
- The Coleman by Homes for Good
- 22nd Avenue Townhomes by Habitat for Humanity
- Grant Street Grow Homes by Cultivate Inc.
- April 6, 2023 at noon
- The sub-committee will review proposals for Bridges on Broadway and The Coleman by Homes for Good
- April 13, 2023 at noon
- The sub-committee will review proposals for 22nd Avenue Townhomes by Habitat for Humanity and Grant Street Grow Homes by Cultivate Inc.
The AHTF supports the creation of local, innovative housing projects that are affordable to people with lower and moderate incomes. The AHTF is a local source of funding generated by a 0.5% construction excise tax on new construction in Eugene. Each year, the City releases a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the funds based on criteria developed by the AHTF Advisory Committee. The Request for Proposals is an open, competitive process. This year, just over $1.2 million in AHTF are available for innovative local housing projects through the AHTF RFP.
