Victoria Nguyen, a former Willamette High School standout, and her current college team, the Western Washington Vikings, were defeated 57-54 by the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos on Saturday, March 14, during the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The matchup took place at 5 p.m. in Nicholson Arena and marked the Vikings’ first tournament game against Cal Poly Pomona.
