Lane County CCOs accepting applications for Community Advisory Council

Lane County’s Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs), Trillium Community Health Plan and PacificSource Community Solutions, are now accepting applications for the Community Advisory Council for the 2022-2024 term.

CCOs are community based, integrated care organizations created by the state of Oregon to allow for the coordination of healthcare to individuals covered under the Oregon Health Plan(OHP). The Lane County CCO Community Advisory Council plays a vital role in the transformation of healthcare and improving the health and well-being of our community. Specifically, Council members help improve communication between OHP members and their CCOs, and ensure that the CCOs hear the voices of the community before making funding and policy decisions. The Council supports health equity, prevention practices, and Lane County’s Community Health Assessment and Improvement Planning process.

The Council is made up of approximately 20 members. More than half of the members are OHP consumers or parents or guardians of OHP consumers. Other members represent organizations who serve OHP consumers, including but not limited to schools, non-profits, tribal partners, and mental health agencies. Members are asked to serve a two-year term and attend monthly meetings, which are held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month. OHP consumer members receive stipends and additional supports as needed for their time serving on the Council.

Staff members from Lane County Public Health Prevention Team, the two CCOs, and the Lane Community Health Council, which is the governing board of PacificSource Community Solutions-Lane, support the Council.
