The first phase of the Willamette Connection public space improvements are now complete, connecting the urban fabric of downtown Eugene and stitching together the north and south ends of downtown.
This public space improvement, funded by Urban Renewal and Public Works, embraces the energy and investment in the north end of downtown, and provides a welcoming entry into our traditional core.
Key improvements include:
- Opened lines of sight, to make the space more safe and inviting
- Improved access for people walking, cycling, and getting around in a wheelchair
Check out the new improvements next time you’re taking in a show at the Hult, or walking from the Market District down Willamette.
